There have been six Captains who served as Lighthouse Keepers in South Haven, Michigan from 1872 through 1940. Two of those Captains, William P. Bryan, who served the first year from 1872 through 1873 and James S. Donahue, who served for 35 years – 1874 -1909, are buried in the South Haven, Michigan cemetery.
This video covers an event held Saturday July 28th, 2018 to remember the two with special plaques placed at their grave sites.
